Have you never thought of any of the following questions ...

Can I have peace and joy in my heart?
Can I have fulfillment in life?
Can I have strength and power to live a meaningful life?
Does anyone really care?

YES! Someone cares ... Jesus Cares For You

"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost" Romans 15:13

In His Word, the Bible, we find the road to hope.

God gives Power!
There is a power capable of giving you hope. The Bible tells us God has that power.

"I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth" Romans 1:16

God's Power brings Change
The Biblical word for change is repentance. This means allowing God to change the direction of our lives. Our road to God has been broken by our sin. God has made only one way to repair this.

Can we fix that broken road? By good works .... by philosophy?

Why is Change Necessary?
A universal problem the Bible calls sin makes change necessary for all of us. Change is the second stop on our journey to finding hope.

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23

Sin Breaks Our Way To God!
We could never be good enough to earn our way to God. The Bible teaches there is only one who is righteous enough to pay the price for our sin.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8

Only Jesus can pay for our sin!

God's Love!

Although He is not pleased with us as we are, God loves us and wants to help us.

Unfortunately, our sin carries the penalty of death, both physical and eternal.

Jesus provides our way to God!

God is willing to forgive us by accepting Jesus as our substitute. His death on the cross paid the penalty of our sin. His resurrection from the dead provides our eternal life.

"I am the way, the truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by me."
John 14:6

Commitment!
"If thou shalt confess with they mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved ... For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:9,13

COMMITMENT MEANS TO:

REPENT = Turn away from sin to follow God's new direction in your life.

BELIEVE = Trust Jesus as your substitute.

CONFESS = Acknowledge Jesus as the supreme authority over your life.

CALL = Ask Him for forgiveness, eternal life, and hope.

Many people have heard before about Jesus, how He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on a Roman cross to pay for our sins, and raised from the dead and offers the free gift of salvation. (1 Corinthians 15:3 and Romans 6:23)

Have you?

Are you aware that what Jesus did will not help you unless you respond by faith to His offer? Here's how to respond.

Read the following prayer, and see if it expresses the desire of your heart.

"Dear God, I know that Jesus is Your Son and that He died on the cross and was raised from the dead. Because I have sinned and need forgiveness, I ask Jesus to come into my life by acknowledging Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and by turning away from my sins. Thank You for giving me forgiveness, eternal life and hope. In Jesus' name, amen."

Use this prayer if it expresses your feelings, or pray a similar prayer in your own words, committing your life to Jesus and asking Him for his gift of eternal life.

You Are Assured of Eternal Life and Hope Because:

  • You can trust God's promise. "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13) Did you sincerely ask Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior? Where is He right now? What does God's word promise?
  • You are a member of God's family. "The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's Children" (Romans 8:16)
  • Your life is eternally secure in God. "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)

What Happens After You Receive Hope from God?

  • You will begin to live for God.
    (Romans 12:1-2,9-18)
  • You will publicly profess your faith by being baptized
    (Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 3:23; Romans 6:4)
  • You will share with others what Jesus has done for you
    (Romans 10:14)
  • You will get to know God better through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with other Christians as a member of a local church
    (Romans 15:4-6)
